巽他鼯猴

巽他鼯猴(学名:Galeopterus variegatus)又称马来亚鼯猴、马来亚飞狐猴,是鼯猴科斑鼯猴属(Galeopterus)的单型种。本种分布于东南亚,包括缅甸南部、泰国、越南南部、马来西亚、新加坡与印度尼西亚(爪哇岛、婆罗洲、苏门答腊与峇厘岛)[1][3][4],并可分为外形相似、仅体型有异的两大类群,体型较大的类群分布于巽他陆棚与中南半岛,体型较小的类群分布于寮国与巽他陆棚的一些小岛[3][5],较前者小约20%[6]。除了体型大小差异外,分子证据显示巽他鼯猴的基因组已发生分化成四大支系:分布于爪哇岛的G. v. variegatus、分布于苏门答腊的G. v. temminckii、分布于婆罗洲的G. v. borneanus与分布于中南半岛的G. v. peninsulae[3],甚至可能被进一步分拆为数个物种[7]。相较于本种分布于东南亚各地,同科的另一现生物种菲律宾鼯猴则仅分布于菲律宾南部[3]。

巽他鼯猴善于爬树,难以在地面上移动[8];以皮膜滑翔时下降10米的高度即可滑行超过100米的距离[9]。本种为夜行性,但有时也在白天出没[10];主要以树叶为食[11],也有食用昆虫的纪录[12];本种目前被IUCN列为无危物种[1],但常为当地人的捕猎对象,且受栖地破坏威胁[13]。
