西里爾·曼戈

西里爾·亞歷山大·曼戈（英語：Cyril Alexander Mango，1928年4月14日—2021年2月8日，出生於伊斯坦堡），是一位英國的拜占庭歷史、藝術以及建築方面的學者。他曾在倫敦國王學院與牛津大學任拜占庭及現代希臘語言文學教授。西里爾·曼戈是安德魯·曼戈的弟弟。

他的主要作品之一是1962年出版的《伊斯坦布爾聖索菲亞大教堂的馬賽克》（The Mosaics of St. Sophia at Istanbul），詳細介紹了聖索菲亞大教堂的馬賽克的歷史。

生平

1928年4月14日，西里爾·曼戈出生於土耳其的伊斯坦布爾，他的父母分別為阿德萊德·曼戈（Adelaide Mango）和亞歷山大（Alexander A.）。1949年，他從聖安德魯大學畢業，獲取碩士學位, 1953年，在巴黎大學獲得歷史博士學位。1953年，他迎娶了梅布爾·格羅弗（Mabel Grover），但後來婚姻破裂。此後他於1964年又和蘇珊·A·格斯特爾（Susan A. Gerstel）結婚，但是這場婚姻告破裂。最終，他於1976年和瑪利亞·曼戈結合。他有兩個女兒，一個是與梅布爾所生，另一個是與蘇珊所生。

他的工作經歷包括：
