課業是課堂的配套應用，於2018年3月蘋果開展教育科技活動期間公開，並於2018年6月正式發佈[3][4][5]，此應用允許教師通過通過其ClassKit系統分發課件iBook、書籍、網頁和作業（如Kahoot!測驗），並設定截止日期[6][7]，學生可以通過該應用程式提交作業，老師可批閱作業並提供反饋[8]。
此應用程式還允許老師即時檢視學生所使用iPhone或iPad的螢幕，以檢查學生上課情形[9]，同時ClassKit系統允許開發人員自訂作業，教師隨後可以將這些自訂作業分配給學生[10][11]。
