他因兩部自然歷史著作聞名：
- 《奧秘；或自然歷史的博物館》(Arcana; or the museum of natural history)，1810年1月到1811年9月一月一版；
- 《貝類，或貝殼的自然歷史》(Conchology, or the natural history of shells)，1811年出版[1]
