細胞增殖
細胞增殖是指細胞生長和分裂成兩個子細胞的過程[1][2][3][4]。細胞增殖使細胞數量成倍增加,因此它是組織生長的快速機制。細胞增殖要求細胞生長和細胞分裂同時發生,以使細胞的平均大小保持不變。細胞增殖與細胞生長或細胞分裂不同的是,細胞分裂時可以不發生細胞生長,這樣會生成許多小細胞(如卵裂),而細胞生長可以不發生細胞分裂,因而會產生單個較大的細胞(如神經元的生長)[5]。細胞總數由細胞增殖率減去細胞死亡率所決定。
