布羅莫結構域

布羅莫結構域(英語:bromodomain)是識別如組蛋白N端尾部等位置乙酰化賴氨酸殘基的蛋白質結構域。這一識別過程往往是蛋白質-組蛋白相關及染色質重塑的先決條件。該結構域的採取一種全-α蛋白質摺疊的形式,由四個α螺旋捆在一起形成[1][2]

發現

約翰·W·塔穆昆與其同僚在研究brm基因時發現了布羅莫結構域這一新的結構模體,且與那些涉及轉錄活化的基因有着相似的序列.[3]
