阿伦·侯顿(1984年11月30日) (born 30 November, 1984 in Penilee, Glasgow) is a Scottish professional footballer who is currently playing for Tottenham Hotspur and also the Scottish national team. He is a right-back.

Club career

Rangers

Hutton made his Rangers debut against Partick Thistle in an SPL match on 22 December 2002. That proved to be his first and last appearance that season; however, he made eleven appearances during 2003–04, scoring his first goal against Dunfermline Athletic at Ibrox on 23 March 2004.

He made twelve appearances during 2004–05 as the club won both the SPL and the Scottish League Cup. Hutton broke his leg in February 2005 whilst playing a Scottish Premier League match against Kilmarnock, he was sidelined for eight months. The 2005–06 season proved to be difficult for Rangers domestically, however Hutton made twenty-three appearances in the first team.

Hutton signed a new five-year contract with Rangers in the summer of 2007.[1] He started the 2007–08 season well and was part of the Scotland team that famously beat France at the Parc de Princes in September 2007. He also played a part in Rangers' opening UEFA Champions League group match victories against VfB Stuttgart and Olympique Lyonnais.

Tottenham

During the 2007–08 season, Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur made a bid, believed to be in the £8 million region, for him in the January 2008 transfer window. Hutton initially rejected the chance to join Spurs,[2] and did so again when Spurs improved their offer,[3] and the protracted transfer was finally completed on 30 January 2008, with the final fee reported to be in the region of £9 million.[4][5] Hutton made his Spurs debut on the 2 February 2008 in a 1–1 draw with Manchester United.[6] Hutton subsequently played in Spurs' victory over Chelsea in the final of the Carling Cup on 24 February.[7]

International career

Along with his then-Rangers team-mate Charlie Adam, Hutton was called up by manager Alex McLeish to the Scotland squad for the first time on May 11, 2007 for a friendly against Austria and a Euro 2008 qualifying match against the Faroe Islands.[8] He made his international debut against Austria on May 30, 2007, coming on as a substitute.[9] Hutton made his competitive Scotland debut against Lithuania in September of that year.[10] He had previously been capped by Scotland at under 21 and B levels.
