亞裔配額

亞裔配額是種族配額（英語：Racial quota）的一種。它1980年起存在至今，反映了美國國內教育機構或職場中有意限制亞裔人數的現象。儘管以常春藤盟校為首的美國高等學府並不承認所謂的「亞裔配額」。究其緣由，是美國大眾文化對亞裔先入為主的觀念，認為亞裔學習成績天生優異，進而導致美國大學錄取的亞裔擁有平均遠超他人的學術水平。^[1]^[2]

然而，亞裔配額這一有失公允的現象並非先例。早在1910年至1950年期間，美國高等學府便出於類似的目的，有意降低猶太裔學生的錄取人數。因此歷史緣故，當今美國大學招生辦中的亞裔申請者也被稱為「新猶太人」。^[3]^[2]^[4]^[5]^[6]

此外，有美國政府調查跡象表明，亞裔配額在美國大學招生辦中普遍存在，但現在尚無定論。^[7]
