贾格迪什·巴格瓦蒂
贾格迪什·纳特瓦尔拉·巴格瓦蒂（英语：Jagdish Natwarlal Bhagwati，1934年7月26日—）是一名印度裔美国经济学家，是他那一代人中最有影响力的贸易理论家之一[1][2][3]。他是哥伦比亚大学经济学和法律的大学教授，也是美国外交关系协会的国际经济学高级研究员。他对国际贸易理论和经济发展做出了重大贡献。

巴格瓦蒂被广泛认为是1991年印度经济改革的思想之父。他是美国学术界唯一一个在他还在大学任教时就有一个以他名字命名的教授。他是哥伦比亚大学仅有的10位拥有校级教授头衔的学者之一[6]。巴格瓦蒂获得了多个著名奖项，包括旭日章、莲花赐勋章 、弗兰克·塞德曼政治经济学杰出奖和瑞士自由奖[7]。
2014年，《金融时报》称他是“他那一代人中从未获得过诺贝尔奖的最杰出的经济学家之一”。包括诺贝尔经济学奖得主保罗·克鲁曼在内的其同行们都赞同这一观点。“对我来说，关键的一点是，在贾格迪什把它说出来之前，人们根本不清楚贸易经济中的扭曲与政策的关系。一旦他这样做了，它就变得如此清晰，以至于很难相信必须有人来指出它。在我看来，这使得他的工作具有诺贝尔奖的价值。”[8]
