This image of a portion of the far side of the Moon was taken during the Apollo 15 mission. The worn crater just to the right of center is Perel'man. The flooded, elongated, footprint-shaped feature to the lower left is Bowditch crater. Part of the Lacus Solitudinus, a small lunar mare, can be seen attached to the southern end of this crater.
The impact feature along the left edge just above center is Koval'skiy crater. The western rim of Scaliger crater is visible along the right edge near the bottom.
This image was taken during the Apollo 15 mapping metric sequence, revolution 63. The selenographic coordinates of the frame are 24° S, 105.50° E, and the camera was at an alitutude of 116 km.
