The Grand View — The Grand View Car ran as a Vista Dome Coach on the famed California Zephyr, arguably one of the most famous trains of all times. The Grand Canyon Railway acquired this classic dome coach car in 2004. The Grand View remains all original. These photos were taken from the train that takes you from Williams Arizona out to the Grand Canyon and Back. The Budd Company built originally built this car as #4722 "Silver Stirrup" in 1948-1949 for the CB&Q as part of the original California Zephyr. The Vista-Dome coach sat 46 in the lower level and accommodated 24 in non-revenue seating in the dome.
